8 Things to know for your first trip to the Sewing Down South Flagship Store

Hi there! Below are some of our FAQs about our Flagship Store, along with some highlights of what to expect when you come and see us! We can’t wait to host you SEW soon!

1. Location! Location! Location!

Our Sewing Down South Flagship store is located at 493 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403. We are really easy to spot, just keep an eye out for our Pillow Mural or famous Sew What yarn wall! Also, we are right across the street from another Charleston favorite, Callies Hot Little Biscuit. Like us, they are made right here in the South.

 2. Timing is Everything 

The hours of our Flagship location are: 

The Week (M-Th) 11 am-7 pm

The Weekend (Fri-Sun) 10 am-8 pm

You might be saying to yourself, “but Friday is a weekday?” Well around here, we start our weekend’s first thing Friday morning! It just makes everything sew much more fun that way.

3. Who? The Sew Crew!

The Sewing Down South Sew Crew are your go to guides for all things at our Flagship Store. They are there to answer any questions you may have about the pillows, merchandise, or even the boss man, Craig! P.S. They love helping to take your pictures in front of the Sew What wall… Don't forget to tag us @sewingdownsouth.

4. The Man You Came Here For… Craig!

Craig loves nothing more than to be in store to meet all our visitors. He often pops in randomly throughout the week (usually in the afternoons.. Shhh don’t tell anyone), and will be in and out on the weekends as well. When he is in store he will take pictures, chat, and even sign your new SDS swag. 

Pro Tip: Be sure to follow us on Instagram, as we are often announcing special events and keeping you up to date on when Craig will be at the Flagship! 

5. What’s in Store for You?

Pillows, Blankets, Candles oh my! We have sew much to offer at our Flagship Store, everything from pillows to home goods, such as spatulas and oven mitts. Our Sewing Down South pillows are all sewn in the south, and with sew many different collections available, we are certain you’ll find the pillow that matches your style (we are big fans of our signature Crab Craze print, in case you were wondering 😉). Also if you are coming to the store be sure to check out Craig’s latest passion project, our candle collection. 

6. Can’t Take it With You?

If you shop with us at our Flagship Store, and are worried about getting your purchase home, no need to worry! We offer shipping through USPS for any and all Sewing Down South purchases. Shipping is priced starting at $15, and will adjust depending on size of purchase.

Want to just purchase the pillow cover in store? That works too! All of our pillows, excluding our Grab & Go collection, are available as just covers. You can purchase the cover in store and then order our insert online when you get home. All of our inserts are available HERE. 

7. Tap or Insert Please

Our Flagship Store is credit card or mobile pay only. We of course also take Sewing Down South gift cards as well! 

You might get lucky on your visit and have Craig check you out!

8. Sew Long, Farewell!

We are SEW happy that you have come to visit our store. We hope that your visit is everything and more, and like we say in the south, y’all come back now!
