5 rooftop bars to check out in CHS
Hi there! In this blog we are covering all the best rooftops bars in town. This list accounts for bars located all over the peninsula, sew you’ll be sure to find the one that suits your needs. Trust us, these bars have you singing from...well, the rooftops!
1. Citrus Club
The Citrus Club is located on the roof of The Dewberry Hotel, right off of Marion Square. They are known for their creative citrus inspired drinks and light modern snacks. This rooftop bar creates an unparalleled vibe accompanied with breathtaking views of downtown Charleston. Be sure to get there early and put your name on the list to go up. Have to wait? No worries! The Living Room bar in the hotel lobby is the perfect place to pregame your rooftop adventure.
2. The Watch
Right off of King Street, at the top of The Restoration Hotel, you’ll find The Watch. This rooftop features the best of both worlds, great food and great drinks. The Watch is not only open for drinks in the evenings, but also for lunch and brunch! The menu features everything from light apps to fun drinks like their “Party Pouches” (think adult Capri-Sun). Inside Tip: order the truffle fries, a true crowd pleaser.
3. Stars Rooftop & Grill Room
Just next door to Sewing Down South, Stars Rooftop & Grill Room provides the perfect setting for a post pillow shopping spree drink. This rooftop has an easy fun vibe, along with great outdoor seating. The location is great for anyone looking to bar hop along King Street.
4.The Vendue
The rooftop at The Vendue is one of the original rooftop bars in town. Located off of East Bay Street, this bar features drinks with a side of stunning views. From the rooftop guests can see the Charleston Harbor, Waterfront Park, and the Ravenel Bridge. If you are looking for a rooftop that's instagram worthy, this might be the place for you.
5. Little Palm Bar and Swim Club
While this outdoor bar isn't exactly on a rooftop, we had to add it to our list because of the uniqueness of this spot! Located at the Ryder Hotel, Little Palm is the island hideaway you’ve been looking for. The bar is known for its one of a kind tropical drinks and its cabana like vibe. If you are looking to escape to the Caribbean for a minute, we recommend swinging by Little Palm.
